Mass on the Mountain brings people closer to God. (MOTM 2025)

This year, 2025, our Mass on the Mountain was a resounding success!

The purpose of this year's event was for us to pray over the Santa Fe Valley and all of New Mexico. From the Lookout at the Santa Fe Ski Base, you can see the Sandia, Jemez and the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Los Alamos, Espanola, and Santa Fe. We prayed for all those people of New Mexico and the Americas that God‘s beauty will be manifested in all hearts because our hearts today were manifested and blessed by the rain among the cathedral of aspens.

Just as Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Elijah, and Jesus climbed the mountain in their day, we also climbed the Sangre De Cristo Mountain to be close to God.

“Mass on the Mountain” was a beautiful and uplifting experience. Just as Jesus would climb a mountain to pray, we did the same to keep following His journey in ourselves. Those who have attended the event said they enjoyed being closer to God and nature. Do not worry that you missed this year be ready to attend “Mass on the Mountain” next year at 10 AM Second Saturday of October 10th 2026. remember, it is at the Lookout at the end of State Road 475, just before the Santa Fe Ski basin.

The ski lifts were running this weekend because the aspens are in full color. Many of the attendees made this an all-day event enjoying God’s creation.

Please pray for all the stouthearted faithful that they had a religious, holy experience. Fr Adrian Sisneros was the celebrant last year and this year we had Fr Denis Kaggwa, who was ordain last spring for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. He is now working as an associate pastor at the UNM Newman Center. We were blessed today, abundantly from the holy rain that fell from the heavens.
