Who can join the 4th degree Knights of Columbus?
Join the Fourth Degree. If you are over 18 years of age; a citizen of the country in which you reside; a practical Catholic in union with the Holy See; and you are a Third Degree member in good standing, it's time to consider joining the ranks of the Fourth Degree.
What does it mean to be a 4th degree Knight of Columbus?
The Fourth Degree is the highest degree of the order. It is an extension of the third degree. Members of this degree are addressed as "Sir Knight". The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism and to encourage active Catholic Citizenship.
How many 4th degree Knights of Columbus are there?
320,000 Fourth Degree Knights. Fewer than 18% of Knights join the Fourth Degree, which is optional; of a total 1.8 Million Knights there are over 320,000 Fourth Degree Knights in over 3,000 Assemblies.
