2nd Annual Santa Fe Disability Pride Parade and Festival
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, the 2nd Annual Santa Fe Disability Pride Parade and Festival took place, starting at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi parking lot (131 Cathedral Place, Santa Fe, NM) at 10:00 AM. The event was organized by Disability Pride New Mexico and featured a parade from the cathedral to the Santa Fe Plaza, followed by a festival. The Santa Fe Assembly, New Mexico Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NMCDHH) participated. This was the second such parade in New Mexico’s history, with the first occurring the previous year.
The Knights of Columbus (K of C), a global Catholic fraternal organization, has a long history of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through various charitable initiatives. Their efforts focus on raising funds, volunteering, and providing resources to enhance the quality of life for people with special needs.
