4th Degree Assembly 685 presented the Patriot Award to Sargent Allan Lopez

Steve Vigil, the Patriot/Civic Award Coordinator of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Assembly 685 presented the Patriot Award to Sargent Allan Lopez.  This award is typically presented by the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus, which is known for its emphasis on patriotism.
Today, the Knights gather to recognize an extraordinary individual whose dedication to our community, nation, and faith is truly inspiring. This individual is a lifelong Santa Fe resident and has served our community with distinction as a law enforcement officer for over three decades.
From his early days at the Santa Fe Police Department and Santa Fe Sheriff's Office to his current role as a Sergeant for the Pojoaque Tribal Police, this individual has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to preserving our values and freedoms. His selfless service and dedication to upholding the law have made a profound impact on our community.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, this individual is a devoted family man and a pillar of his faith. He has instilled his deep spiritual beliefs in his children and grandchildren, who have followed in his footsteps in serving their communities. One son is a priest, one daughter works for SMDLP, and the other serves as a campus minister at St. Michael's High School. His unwavering faith has guided him throughout his life, and he continues to inspire others with his devotion to his family, his community, and his faith.
It has pleased us to present this Patriot Award of The Patriotic Degree of the Knights of Columbus to Sargent Allan Lopez. We not only honor him as a patriot: we also honor him as a grandpa on this Sunday, September 8th, 2024 National Grandparents Day.  His service and sacrifice are a testament to the true spirit of fatherhood and patriotism.

Assembly 685 wishes to thank Ralph Ortiz and Desert Tee for donating the plaque that makes everything official and a special memorabilia for Allan. We also like to thank Grand Knight Bob Wolf, Treasure SK Marcus Garcia, Faithful Comptroller SK Steve Hauf and SK Tom Ortiz for giving their support in standing to back us up during the presentation. Mike Specht for giving honor and Fr Darrell Segura for officiating.
