Santa Maria de la Paz exemplification to honor Father Darrell Segura

On Saturday June 1st, 2024 the second exemplification at Santa Maria de la Paz was to honor Father Darrell Segura. We had nine men who joined him in taking the exemplification. Seven in person and two online, three from Santa Maria de la Paz Council 10517- Sir Knight Father Darrell Segura, Sir Knight Deacon Eloy Gallegos, Sir Knight Kenneth Vighl; Sir Knight Dr. Jeremy Stueven from the Cathedral, Sir Knight Vernon Jaramillo from Espanola, Sir Knights Tom Sesbeam and Benjamin King from Albuquerque.

We would like to congratulate these men for stepping up and taking the Patriotic Degree of the Knights Of Columbus, being defenders of our faith and now of our country.

We also like to thank Father Ray, for helping out the Degree team by talking on the Faithful Friar part.

We also like to recognize Louis Martinez, Raymond Martinez and Lance Martinez, three generations of Sir Knights who assisted in the Color Corps. We also like to thank Sir Knight Anthony Romero for coordinating everything between the state and the parish so we could have this event at Santa Maria de La Paz. Sir Knight Eloy Ulibarri for asking Father for day he would attend the exemplification; Sir Knight Cliff Sisneros for manning the registration table, Sir Knight Marcus Garcia for being the man who takes care of last minute essentials and for helping with registration and set up for the Degree Team, Sir Knight Simon Reed for taking the commanders position in the exemplification by giving the commands.

The Degree team consisted of; State officers CJ Deeley (state treasurer) Anthony Salazar (incoming state deputy), Jim McCabe (general agent) John Alvarado (Faithful Admiral Assembly 3309) Sir Knight Frank Melo (took care of communications), Rudy Archibeque (State Marshall), Roger Martinez, (District Marshall) Daniel Vigil (Past State Deputy), Bernard Ela (State Deputy, and Sir Knights Larry Schissel and Mike Specht DM.
